His Highness blessed the inauguration of these projects, emphasizing that they embody the generous support and great attention given by the wise leadership to the growth and development of various regions of the Kingdom, in achieving the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. He expressed his happiness at inaugurating this group of vital road projects in the region, praising the efforts of the transport and logistics ecosystem in executing qualitative projects that contribute to enhancing comprehensive development.
The inaugurated projects included the completion of a section connecting Baljurashi Governorate with Al-Aqiq, the duplication of a section of the (Al-Mikhwah / Al-Majardah) road, and the completion of a section of the road linking the region to the (Riyadh / Al-Rhein / Bisha) road. This is in addition to the completion of a number of secondary roads, most notably: (Al-Bad'ah road, Al-Muzayri'ah road, Al-Harba road in Al-Jardaa, Bani Ata road, Al-Buwayrah road, Wadi Mada' road, Wadi Dhanayb road branching from Wadi Rama road, and the Nawan – Al-Thuban road in Al-Rumaydah). These projects aim to enhance traffic safety and meet the growing demand on the road network, thereby contributing to the smooth flow of traffic and supporting urban and tourism development in the region.
For his part, His Excellency the Minister of Transport and Logistics Services expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Governor of the Region for his support and follow-up of the sector's projects. He emphasized that the inaugurated projects come as an extension of the unlimited support from the wise leadership for the transport and logistics sector, noting that these projects will contribute to enhancing mobility and serving visitors to the region. He pointed out that they were executed according to the highest safety and quality standards, and in accordance with the Saudi Road Code, within the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics Services launched by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, which aims to consolidate the Kingdom's position as a global logistics hub.
His Excellency added that the transport and logistics ecosystem continues its efforts to elevate the road network and all modes of transport, as it is one of the most important national enablers for achieving the targets of Saudi Vision 2030.
Following this, His Highness the Governor of Al-Baha Region chaired an expanded meeting at the Emirate's headquarters, during which performance indicators and developmental projects in the region were reviewed, including the logistics services center and transport and infrastructure projects, alongside discussing ways to raise the efficiency of services and achieve regional development objectives.
