Following the agency visit, Minister Al-Jasser attended an intelligent transport event organized by ITS Finland in the capital, Helsinki. The event featured presentations on traffic management, energy system connectivity, the comprehensive framework for sustainable urban mobility, the new transport system in the city of Tampere, and the traffic ecosystem along with its built-on services. The Minister also took a specialized tour of the city's metro system to inspect its operating models and user services.
On the sidelines of his itinerary, the Saudi Transport Minister met with the Finnish Minister for Foreign Trade and Development, Mr. Ville Tavio. The two sides discussed ways to strengthen mutual cooperation across several trade and developmental fields.
