During his speech at the meeting, Eng. Al-Jasser emphasized the importance of investing in human cadres as a fundamental factor in achieving sustainable development for the sector. He stressed the necessity of adopting international best practices in human capital management to achieve the targets of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy in accordance with Saudi Vision 2030.
For his part, His Excellency the Assistant Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, Mr. Ahmed Al-Hassan, pointed out that the ministry is making significant efforts to develop the skills of its employees and equip them with the necessary scientific and practical knowledge. This, he noted, will positively impact workflow development and complete the implementation of planned programs, initiatives, and projects. He asserted that the objectives of the Human Capital Departments Strategies Project for the transport and logistics ecosystem will contribute to attracting national talent, promoting a culture of integrated work, and utilizing modern technical systems to maximize performance and achieve optimal benefits from the project.
Meanwhile, Dr. Faten Al-Sari, Director of the Human Resources Strategy Department at the ministry, reviewed an overview of the project and the strategic framework of the human capital strategy for the transport and logistics ecosystem, as well as future initiatives and projects in line with achieving the goals of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy.
In turn, the consultant and leadership development expert, Francis Maude, spoke about the role of leadership within the transport and logistics ecosystem in implementing human capital strategies, reviewing the best international methods and practices followed in this field.
