Today the
Wednesday, the Minister of Transport Dr. Nabil bin Mohammed Al Amoudi and HE
the Civil Aviation Authority Chief Executive Office Mr. Abdulhakim Al-Tamimi
inspected the transport system projects, including Aseer airport and numbers of
roads. The tour started by visiting the Abha - Al Fara that intersection with
King Abdullah road, which considers one of the most important projects in the
region.
Then they
visited a Dhil road that connects Asir and Jazan region, where HE has checked
the workflow on the preventive maintenance that implemented by the Ministry.
After that, the
Ministry team visited Al Soudah road duplication project in its first stage by
10 km and the second by 11 km.
At the end of
tours, HE the Transport Minister and HE the Civil Aviation Authority Chief
visited the new Abha Airport expansion project.
During the
tour, the Minister met the people in the region and listened to their
suggestions and demands. HE confirmed
that the Ministry working on selecting the contractors according to procedures
and controls to ensure that the projects implementing with highly efficient.
On the other
side, HE participated in the " invest in Aseer " workshop that
organized by Emirate of Aseer Province, where HE answered the queries for those
interested in investing in the region and the planning to connect the region by
railway.
It's worth
noting, that the visit of HE the Transport Minister to Aseer came from the MOT
obligations to follow-up the workflow and meet the contractors to find out the
problems and solve it.
