The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and
United Arab Emirates are seeking to intensify the bilateral cooperation and
strengthening the relationship. Dubai held an intensive talks session in
developing the cooperation mechanisms and coordination in the logistics sector
and infrastructure, that attended by the Saudi Transport Sector Entities
delegation.
The delegation was headed by the
Deputy Minister of Transport, Eng. Saad Abdulaziz Alkhalb, to complete what was
started in the Saudi- UAE Coordination Council to expand the cooperation and
joint action in the logistics field and infrastructure.
In the beginning, the Deputy
Minister of Transport thanked the UAE side and expressed his appreciation for
the importance of these meetings.
The UAE General Civil Aviation
Authority officials giving a presentation about change program and the
performance after the change in the UAE sector. The Federal Transport Authority
- Land & Maritime (FTA) leaders reviewed the measures that taken by UAE to
matching the federal maritime regulations of the international conventions in
this field. As well as the Roads & Transport Authority experience in
organizing the work of Electric vehicles, Autonomous vehicles, licensing
mechanism for land transport activities, Taxicabs, and Vehicle leasing. At
the end of the meeting, the Saudi delegation visited the Enterprise Command
& Control Centre (EC 3).
On the other hand, the delegation
toured in Port Rashid in Dubai, and draw on UAE expertise in the organization
and procedures of Cruise Ships to readiness some Saudi ports to receive the
Cruise Ships.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the
United Arab Emirates held a number of sessions "Khalwa Al Azm" to
discuss three strategic axes related to the economy, knowledge and human,
political, military and security. The two sides signed up a number of joint
conventions like customs and supporting the entrepreneurship. As well as
holding a number of economic meetings to enhance the coordination and
integration of the two brotherly countries interest.
