On Tuesday, His
Excellency the Minister of Transport Dr. Nabil bin Al-Amoudi visited the
National Festival of Heritage and Culture “Janadriyah”. The Transport Sector
Entities pavilion participate in the thirty- second session of the festival,
also the Saudi Arabian Airlines pavilion.
Al-Amoudi
started his visited by visiting the ministry of transportation pavilion. HE
started with "Roads in The Kingdom Between Past and Present" photo
gallery and how the kingdom roads project have a quantum leap that that total
of its length almost reached more than 66,000 km. After that, he visited the
corner of Unified Call Center (938), that specialized to follow up any
road-related report, as well as the application "Toroq" for
smartphones.
During his tour, HE stopped at the incident
indices and traffic densities that associated with the traffic monitoring units
and accident report that shows in a smart screen. As part of its initiations to
raise the road safety and reduce the road accident deaths.
He showed his admiration of this kind of the
experience which helped to show visitors of the festival the ministry goals
after trying it by himself.
On the other hand, the minister visiting the
Public Transport Authority and Saudi Railways Organization in the Kingdom
transport activity. It’s role to supervise the activities, make sure of its
facilities safety and the availability of public transports services with the
highest quality and appropriate cost which agreed with the objectives of
economic and social development in the kingdom.
HE listening to an explanation the safety means
in the Maritime Transport its tasks, organized, issuing of a license and
supervising the trips as well as the Land Transport and its means. Also, HE
reviewed the Saudi Railways Organization and the information which is provided
and the history of its established services and reaching to the huge change
that the sector sees nowadays.
At the end of his visit, HE thanked and
appreciated the work of all his colleagues in the transport sector entities who
participated in the festival. Also, HE takes pictures souvenirs to encourage
them for their role in the succession of the ministry and its sectors
participation.
Al-Amoudi ends his visit in the Saudi Arabian
Airlines pavilion, which shows the history and the development of flight in the
kingdom.
