Saudi Minister of Transport signs an agreement with Djibouti

​​​​The Minister of Transport Dr. Nabil bin Mohammed Al-Amoudi met the Prime Minister of the Republic of Djibouti, Mr. Abdoulkader Kamil Mohamed on Wednesday and discussed the means of integration in the transport field.Dr. Al-Amoudi delivers the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, to the President of Djibouti Mr. Ismaïl Omar Guelleh, and the Djiboutian people. His Excellency expresses the kingdom keenness to strengthen the economic relations, trade and transport networks that meet the Saudi Vision 2030.The Minister of Transport signs an agreement on with the Minister of Equipment and Transport of Djibouti, Mr. Mohammed Abdul Qadir Musa in air transport services and maritime transport companies to enhance the collaboration between the ports. They also discuss other investment opportunities. 

The visit includes a tour to the Djibouti land ports and the railway station. Saudi delegation attends a presentation in Djibouti National Investment Promotion Agency and another in Ports and Free Zones Authority. The representatives of the Saudi Ports Authority represent the role of the Ports Authority and its vision. 

The Minister of Transport was accompanied by the Undersecretary of Strategic Planning at Ministry of Transport Mr. Hathlool Bin Hussain Al- Hathlool, the Advisor and the General Supervisor of the Minister's Office Mr. Saad Al-Anqari, the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Djibouti Mr. Abdulaziz al-Dawood, Chief Executive of Bahri Company Mr. Abdullah Al-Dubaikhi, the Ambassador of the Republic of Djibouti to kingdom Mr. Diauddin Saeed Bamakhrama, a delegation from Council of Saudi Chambers and representatives of General Authority of Civil Aviation, Saudi Ports Authority and Public Investment Fund.

The joint Saudi-Djibouti committee held the second meeting last December in Riyadh which resulted in an agreement to support the vision of the two countries and activate article 8 of the General Agreement of Cooperation that was signed in Djibouti 2011.
