The Ministry of Transport is considering linking part of the ring road in Taif with the South Road as a temporary solution to the unfinished upper intersection project after it was withdrawn from the defaulting contractor. It is worth mentioning that 4.5 of the linking area between Al-Shefa Road and the South Road has been accomplished and there is1.2 km under construction.
The visit came during an inspection tour of Taif Governorate road projects carried out by HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport for Roads Mr. Majid bin Rafid Al- Arqobi, where he visited some projects and gave his instructions and comments on the contractors' performance and their rates of achievement. Mr. Al-Arqobi urged them to commit to the project timeline in order to achieve them in time.
During his tour, Mr.Al-Arqobi visited the expansion project of Ashera - Al-Mahani double road (first phase) and gave his directions to open the completed parts for the public.
