In his second inspection visit to the Jazan region, Deputy Minister of Transport Eng. Saad bin Abdulaziz Al-Khaleb addressed the contractors to complete the projects.
Engineer Al-Khaleb stressed the importance of delivering the project on the agreed deadlines, pointing out the penalties of the defaulting contractors.
The Deputy Minister of Transport stated that his visit to the Jazan region is in line with the aspirations and keenness of the leadership and under the guidance of His Excellency the Minister of Transport Dr. Nabil bin Mohammed Al-Amoudi, who gives great importance to the Jazan region and personally follow-up its projects.
Vice minister Al-Khaleb met with some Jazan residents to listened to their demands concerning the roads and assured them of the ministry's firm approach with the contractors. It is noteworthy that Jazan roads vary from single, double and mountain roads.
The Deputy Minister of Transport pointed out that the Ministry has a plan to collaborate with other governmental organizations to dissolve the obstacles facing the contractors, noting at the same time that the kingdom and its citizens are top priorities.
After meeting with the contractors, the Deputy Minister of Transport went to inspect some projects under construction in Jizan, mainly the coastal highway (Al-Shakiuq-Al-Tawal), which is a link to the cities and governorates located on the Red Sea coast. Then he directed the new contractor of Abu Arish - Al-Aridda to finish the work in the first quarter of 2018.
It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Transport has recently adopted a new mechanism to deal with contractors to ensure the accurate execution of the projects on the scheduled deadlines, to serve the citizen and provide the best means of transportation and infrastructure.
