The Minister of Transport extends his appreciation to the King for Al-Madinah transport projects


His Excellency the Minister of Transport, Dr. Nabil bin Mohammed Al-Amoudi, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud for launching some development projects in Madinah.

The Minister of Transport stated that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques inauguration to the projects in Madinah confirms his approach in serving and caring for the two Holy Mosques and his direction to the officials to always develop and facilitate what the guests of the Allah need whether they are pilgrims or visitors, for that it is an honor and for the Kingdom and all its citizens.


Al-Amoudi pointed out that the most prominent projects of the transport sector entities which was inaugurated by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques are the Al-Haramain Express station in Medina. It is worth mentioning that al-Haramain Express station is 9 km away from the Prophet's Mosque, 3 km from Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport 3 kilometers and accommodates 4,000 passengers per hour. The projects include King Fahad Industrial Port and the commercial port in Yanbu Governorate. Also, three road projects; Al- Madina / Al-Ola / Tabuk Highway in the first and second phases and Prince Nayef Bin Abdulaziz Road intersection with Madina Al Munawwarah Road. The total cost of these projects exceeded 3 billion riyals.

At the end of his statement, Dr. Al-Amoudi expressed his keenness with all the employees in the transport sector entities to be in line with the aspirations of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince in supporting the promising directions of the Kingdom Vision 2030.
