His Excellency Deputy Minister of Transport Eng. Saad bin Abdul Aziz Al-Khaleb met with the Russian Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Mr. Vasily Osmakov, who is currently visiting the Kingdom. The meeting was attended by a large delegation of railway officials and Russian train companies with the presence of the Russian Ambassador to the Kingdom Mr. Sergei Kozlov.
At the beginning of the reception, HE Eng. Al-Khaleb welcomed the first Russian delegation and presented the transport sector entities' role in achieving the Kingdom's vision 2030 and the directions of the Ministry to make the Kingdom a distinctive logistics platform between the three continents in the coming stage.
During the meeting, the two parties reviewed the opportunities and the volume of exchange and partnership between the two countries, which reflects the vision of the two leaderships. The Russian delegation also presented its capabilities in the field of air, land and rail sectors. The Russian delegation expressed its willingness to invest in the transport sector in Saudi Arabia, especially infrastructure projects and railways.
