MOT set electronic boards to alert the drivers

The Ministry of Transport has set electronic screens on some roads, alerting drivers about the speed of their vehicles while passing through to preserve their lives.According to reports from the ministry, there is a steady relationship between speeding and traffic accidents. Al-Majdah - Hafr Al-Batin road registered the highest in exceeding the speed limit by 58%, followed by Al-Slail - Riyadh road, by 54%, and Ar Riyadh - Bisha road came third by 53% last September.The Director-General of the Ministry of Transport in Riyadh, Eng. Salman Al-Dallan said within the plans to raise the level of safety and reduce the mortality rate of road accidents, the Road Agency in MOT has installed seven environmentally friendly, energy-saving solar electronic screens (radar) for the drivers in Riyadh roads.One of MOT strategic objectives and initiatives consistent with the vision of the Kingdom 2030, is to expand in using intelligent road transport systems and vehicles of all types to increase the safety level and the efficiency of various transport modules.
