Under the directives of His Excellency the Minister of Transport Sulaiman bin Abdullah Al-Hamdan, The Deputy Minister of Transport Eng. Saad bin Abdul Aziz Al-Khallab held a Video Calling meeting on Tuesday morning with the directors of all road administrations in all regions of the Kingdom. The meeting was also attended by the Undersecretary of Projects and Roads Engineer Khamis bin Saleh Al-Ghamdi, General Supervisor of Marketing and Corporate Communication Mr. Turki Al-Toaimi, and the Directors of all the technical and administrative departments in the ministry.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency stressed the importance of enhancing communication among road administrations in all regions of the Kingdom to follow up the progress of the projects and face and overcome any obstacles or difficulties that may happen. Also, the need to pay attention to the service provided to the citizens, open the channels to them to have a voice and give them the priority through the communication channels provided by the Ministry, whether through social media platforms, or by contacting the Unified Communications Center 938 or by submitting a report through the smartphone application "Toroq."
The deputy minister of transport directed the general directors of the road departments to study all the observations on the main roads, intersections and the entrances of the cities in each region, and ensure that there are adequate safety factors in them. Also, implement an expanded field tours and raise an integrated report within one month of its date. Then he added that the proposals will be examined and quick solutions will be found for the upcoming obstacles that may happen, stressing that they are given the powers and well that allow them to carry out their responsibilities and tasks without delay. The Deputy Minister of Transport stressed at the end of the meeting on the need to strengthen the supervision of contractors in the road projects that are implemented, and to ensure upon receipt of the completion of their requirements in accordance with the highest standards of quality and safety of roads.
